The New Wireless USB 2.0 Extender System by Gefen may interest Geekzone because of its potential applications with computer peripherals. I'm interested in the new product because of its potential to make smartphone and PDA owners's lives easier.
There are two base stations. One connects to your computer, while the other features four USB 2.0 ports for your gadgets. So long as both stations are within range (a max of 100 feet), they can transmit data between each other, without the need for wires.

So you can imagine how geeks can take advantage of this. With a large enough LCD TV, you can keep your computer tucked out of sight. Just connect the LCD TV to the computer, and the sender unit of the Extender system. Then, place the receiver unit wherever you'll be sitting (a couch perhaps?).
Plug in a USB keyboard and mouse for control, and you'll still have two ports left for whatever smartphone or PDA you'd like to sync. And you can use USB hubs if you want to add more ports. You'll never have to connect your gadget directly to your computer again!
