Gartner has released the Smartphone market share figures for the year 2008. According to the released figures:
Nokia (Symbian) is still No. 1 with 52.4% market share
RIM (Blackerry) is No. 2 with 16.6% market share
Windows Mobile is No. 3 with 11.8% followed by Apple, Linux, Palm and other Smartphone manufacturers.
Apple (245.7%) managed to obtain the highest growth rate in 2008 compared to the year 2007, followed by RIM (96.7%), Palm (42.2%) and Windows Mobile (12.2%).
