From a WordPress Blog Comes a Guide to Ultimate Synchronicity

Microsoft Outlook handles contacts well, to the point that most (if not all) Smartphones and PDAs can synchronize with it. But what if other apps managed your life? What if you set appointments in Google Calendar, and used Gmail? WordPress user engtech coaxes different applications to work together.
Honestly, engtech's writing was a little hard to follow, but here's what I gathered:
- Primarily, he uses Microsoft Outlook at home handle his contacts, Google Calendar for his schedule, and Gmail.
- ScheduleWorld is a central figure, used to transfer information between the apps, while the home computer is responsible for updating mobile devices.
- Microsoft Outlook at work only handles new scheduling. Apparently, new contacts will be saved on a mobile device for later syncing at home.
Online or Offline? I've tried Google Calendar and I like it, but the fact it's online worries me; what if net access gives way during a crucial time? It's better to have your personal information on at most two devices: your home (desktop) and mobile (smartphone or PDA) hubs. That way, the only syncing you have to do is between them. And since you don't need to transfer your data that much, it's a lot safer.

Thanks for the link. I’ll see what I can do to clarify the introduction.

No prob engtech. It’s good to see people who invest time to tell the world what they know.
