I finally got my grubby hands on a Nokia 5700, and I must say, it's quite an impressive phone.
The older brother of Nokia's XpressMusic series (the younger being the sliding 5300), has so far suffered from little to none slowdowns. Its main feature is media playback: music, video, and your favorite FM stations. The bottom twisting part lets you easily switch between phone, media player, and camera. Even I as twisted fast as possible, the phone kept up, switching modes with ease.
And of course, more practical functions like menu navigation and text input were a breeze, again because of S60 smartphone's responsiveness. It's just too bad though that limited capacity and an uncertain five-way joystick spoil the party. Stay tuned for a full review to see what I mean.
Thanks to Sasha for taking the pictures!
