The unofficial Windows Mobile 6 ROM for the Treo 750 should've given Palm hints of what its customers needed. But it still took the company (and perhaps ATT?) six long months to come out with the official update for US users, most of whom bought the phone as part of an ATT package.
As such, the press release reads like an exercise of announcing for the sake of announcing, save for proclamation that the update "will facilitate High-speed Download Packet Access (HSDPA) capability, allowing faster data-download speeds on 3G/UMTS/HSDPA networks."
