Does it Really Matter if Smartphones and PDA Phones Cause Brain Cancer?

Mobile Crunch's recent post shows that the controversy over the potential side effects
of frequent mobile use isn't over. I've even joined the discussion last year. And I'll repeat what I've said before: it doesn't really matter if mobiles really cause brain cancer or not. Why? Well, as any mobile owner knows, the cell phone is already indispensable. Try living without one for at least week, and let's see how well you do.
In other words, maybe the argument over whether mobiles generate brain cancer causing radiation is moot. Who would stop texting, calling or surfing, if they were told that it was bad for their health? Last time I used smoking as an example of self-destructive behavior. But I realized drug addicts are a better analogy, since connectivity is a addiction that's not going away any time soon, if at all.
