Msmobiles.com follows up their Windows Mobile 6 interview by linking to a detailed comparison of the new mobile OS and its predecessor.
Obviously, the scales are tipped in favor of Windows Mobile 6, and its obvious from the list that many features are dependent on Exchange 2007, Microsoft's collaborative software
designed to work on a variety of devices. There are many new and genuinely useful features. You can now search messages on your company's server for instance, meaning you don't have to save all the messages you receive on the device itself.
But despite Microsoft's marketing juggernaut, it's painfully obvious that some functions aren't revolutionary (oh wow, now it's easier to pair my gadget with a PC for surfing!). At least this shows Microsoft is interested in staying in the mobile game--by adding features that competitors have provided for quite some time.
Windows Mobile 6 looks to be more reliable and responsive, supported by more intuitive controls. Will it finally end the suffering long-time users have been bearing?
