C’mon People, Let’s be More Proactive!

As the writer of The Smart PDA, I've corresponded with many readers. Some of them contact me directly, or leave comments asking me questions. It's been very rewarding to help people through their smartphone and PDA related problems, such as a reader who wondered why she couldn't transfer files from one phone to another via Bluetooth.
I've mostly felt the satisfaction from successfully guiding you, dear readers, towards the path of mobile enlightenment, and it's always an honor to be of help. At the same time however, it's really irritating when people ask me how to do this and that, even though I've already pointed out the answer on this blog.
Yesterday, I linked to a useful post on the Eseries blog, summarizing its quick and easy solutions for common S60 theme installation problems. I of course even linked to the full article, so that readers looking for more info would easily find it. Despite this, someone left a comment still asking how to work around the said issue.
It's not the first time someone asked me a question, even if the answer was pretty obvious or would be if the person made a little effort to actually read this blog or follow the links wherever they lead.
Smartphones, PDAs, and the Internet are making it easier for people to locate the information they need, on their own time and wherever they are. But even the best tools become useless if its user isn't the slightest bit proactive. I'm always willing to help, but only if you're willing to carry your load.
