Cingular Releases HTC's STRTrk as the Cingular 3125

Expect Cingular to add more to the HTC model name confusion as the service provider releases HTC's first Windows Mobile clamshell phone, the STRTrk ("Star Trek") as the Cingular 3125.
The 3125 features, aside from the usual Windows Mobile PIM functions:
- A QVGA (320x240 pixels) display
- Push e-mail, via Microsoft's MSFP
- A Speakerphone
- Bluetooth and Infrared for connectivity
- 64MB internal memory
- microSD slot
- Support for MP3 Ringtones and Playback
- Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900), plus GPRS and EDGE capabilities
Mobiledia has more detailed info. Perhaps the biggest selling point of this smartphone, if it clicks, is how thin it is. At barely over half an inch-thick, it's clear who the 3125 is gunning Motorola's razr. You can buy the Cingular 3125 online from Cingular's website.
Aliases Galore: Apparently the HTC STRTrk/Cingular 3125 is also known as the Qtek 8500.
In Other Cingular News: Cingular has also made the Nokia E62 available to its subscribers, and will release its own version of the Blackberry Pearl next year.
Do'h! So much for the 3125 competing with the RAZR. The service provider's version of HTC's smartphone has a thicker battery!
