This post is only relevant to The Smart PDA because it features Samsung, a South Korean smartphone and PDA maker. In any case, getting a chance to carry the Olympic torch as it makes its way to Beijing would interest a lot of people, right?

The grand prize of Samsung's Mobile Phone Samaritan is just that. The five nominees who have the best Good-Samaritan-involving-a-mobile-phone story get to carry the Olympic torch as it passes through San Francisco on April 9, 2008.

It's definitely a long way to April 9. But at least you have lots of time to invent a story decide which good act (yours or someone else's) you'd want to submit.

And by the way, only time will tell if Samsung's expensive insertion into the world sport event will pay off in the long run.
