Blackberry Connect Now Available to Australian Treo 650 Users Through Vodafone

For businessmen down under, and other Australians obsessed with their e-mail, Vodafone has recently launched the Blackberry Connect Service. According to a press release from Palm, Blackberry Connect works on the Treo 650, supports Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Domino (both are software that help people act as a team), and features:

  • True push e-mail functionality, with the ability to view attached Microsoft Office documents
  • Wireless calendar synchronization that allows users to receive new appointments
  • Access to a company's contact server, precluding the need to download them onto the phone
  • Various security functions such as improved encryption and utilities that allow the company to remotely disable the unit

Lamely Litigious: I agree with Businesspundit. A professor's assertion that employees addicted to technology (users sometimes call their Blackberries "Crackberries") can sue their boss is stupid. Visit the True Stella Awards for more examples of American obsession with courtrooms.
