Baby Shower Favors by Phone
Kids today don't have much of a grasp of how life has changed in the last couple of decades. They think that everyone has always been born with a Smartphone in their hand. They think that the time before the Internet was called the Stone Age.
My nineteen year old is helping to plan a baby shower at the moment. (I don't really want to think about it too hard; if it was her shower I might be in jail for hurting some boy…) So where does she go to look for Baby Shower Favors? We're driving to the mall to look for stuff for the party and she decides to surf the web on my BlackBerry to get what she needs. By the time I'm at the mall with her I figure out that she's bought everything she needs.
Is it a wasted trip? I've discovered that kids her age "hang out" at the mall and shop online…
