AT&T’s HTC Aria: A deal maker or breaker?

After AT&T's consistent boycott of Android based device, it has finally decided to launch a branded Android device known as the HTC Aria. The device started shipping on June 20 for a price tag of $129.99. But is the AT&T bound HTC Aria worth buying or not? Engadget mobile has posted a review of the HTC Areal to find this out.
According to the review posted by Engadget mobile here are the plus points:
1. The HTC Aria comes with a smooth, Sexy, sleek, lightweight and classy design
2. It comes with HTC sense UI, which provides more usability features as compared to stock Android UI.
3. Although equipped with a 600MHz processor, the Aria is a speed machine capable of performing multi-tasking functions effeciently and at the same time consumes less battery power.
4. It comes with a reasonable 5MP camera with decent speed, image & video quality.
According to the review posted by Engadget mobile here are the negative points:
1. The display on the HTC Aria is too glossy
2. It comes with haptic feedback capacitive Home, Menu, Back and Search buttons. The folks at Engadget mobile weren't too impressed with these and preferred physical keys over capacitive buttons.
3. Unlike Nexus One and other Android phone, AT&T has locked the Aria to prevent sideloading apps onto the device. This means that you can only download and install Aps. on the Aria via Android market. You can't install applications from unknown sources.
I will conclude this post by mentioning that the AT&T bound HTC Aria might not be the most eye-catching Android device in the market but it may appeal to basic smartphone users who:
1. are not really interested in high-end features
2. not bothered with tweaking their devices with software from unknown sources.
3. want to own a device that is a little different from the rest
