Apple Says the iPhone’s Battery Isn’t Bad at All

Of course, a smartphone's maker would say that its product features great battery life. But when you use specific examples to state your case, it becomes so much easier to believe the marketing line. While "Technical specifications are subject to change," Apple's confidently showing of their battery figures. Here's a summary of what the footer of the iPhone spec page currently says:
- 24 hours of audio playback when playing 358 songs, ripped from CDs and downloaded from the iTunes store, continuously
- 8 hours talk time on a 1900 Mhz GSM network
- 7 hours of video playback when showing a 2:23 minute film repeatedly
- 6 hours of mobile browsing using Wi-Fi or EDGE
Remember though that as you charge/discharge any gadget's battery, its capacity for power lessens each time. Which means the actual battery life of the iPhone will slowly grow shorter. And it remains to be seen if the iPhone's internal, non-removable battery will prove to be an inconvenience (like the iPod, the battery here is inside the casing) for those used to swapping batteries when they're running out of juice.
