An HTC Smartphone and PDA From the 2007 GSM

It's appropriate that Laptop Magazine reports on the new HTC products announced during the 2007 GSM Congress. Because even if both Windows Mobile gadgets are considered a smartphone and PDA phone respectively, they look really similar to laptops.
Though the HTC S710. looks like your typical smartphone, a thumbboard slides out from underneath. It's HTC's first Windows Mobile 6 gadget, and has a decent feature set: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 2 megapixel camera are built-in. But there's no 3G, and its relatively weak 201Mhz processor may prove too slow to keep things running smoothly.
Next up is a gadget with an identity crisis. Is the HTC Advantage X7500 an ultra-portable? A PDA? A Phone? Whatever it is, its HTC's shot at providing everything you need in your pocket. Aside from Windows Mobile Staples
like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an integrated camera (3 megapixels), the X7500 is a quad-band phone with UMTS/HSDPA connectivity. And it apparently has features like a TV-out and an 8GB hard drive! Don't forget the detachable QWERTY keyboard! Everything runs on Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC Edition.I can live the S710's lack of 3G, since it has Wi-Fi. But I'm not sure though how you use a 5-inch wide gadget like the X7500 to take a call. Do you end up covering the entire side of your face? Or does the the X7500 come with a headset?
One thing's for sure: expect rebranded variants of these two.
