To summarize his thoughts, here's what will make the Treo 750v "huge for both Palm and Windows Mobile":
- Form Factor. Lacking the antenna its predecessors (Treo 650 and 700p/w) had, the 750v is a lot more compact, while retaining the Treo's great ergonomics.
- Quick Mute. Remember that podcast I did with Jayvee of Cellphone9? He was looking for a phone that was easy to mute, without having to go through menus. The Treo 750v is capable of such.
- Smooth Music Playback. Jason says you can use stream music from the phone onto Bluetooth headphones, and it's easy to pause the music to take a call.
- Easy to Use With One Hand. According to Jason, he never had to pull out stylus to get anything done. The only exception involved aligning the screen.
- Other Enhancements. Easy voice-mail management, and an SMS program that mimics Instant Messaging, so you'll be able to keep track of the conversation easily.
So Should You Go Out and Buy It? While Jason Langridge gives compelling reasons to get the Treo 750v, keep in mind he's an employee of Microsoft after all. It's understandable that there are hardly any criticisms on the review. Your job becomes less secure (or even non-existent!) if you openly put-down your boss. Just remember, the Treo 750v is due out on October 2, from Vodafone UK.
