ADT Security – on My Phone

I've always thought of home security systems as doing a couple of things. First, if someone trying to break into your home a home security system will make a loud noise (whether you're home or not) and attract the attention of the neighbors. Most criminals would leave with the noise starts, right? Second, if someone tries to break into your house, a good home security system will notify the police. Hopefully the police will then come and check on the house (and maybe even catch the burglars).
So when you're away from home you don't have to worry so much about whether a burglar is breaking in. You just worry about whether your home security system is working…
I recently discovered that many of the more modern home security systems (like ADT security) will actually talk to your cell phone. You can call home and talk to your home security system while you're out on the town at night or away on vacation at Myrtle Beach.
So now you don't have to worry about whether the home security system is working. Is that cool, or what?
