A Home-Made Yet Effective Baby Monitor

Knowledge of smartphones and PDAs doesn't necessarily equate with parenting experience (it's nice to see a kid learn how to text though), so take this advice with a grain of salt. But if your bundle of joy is sleeping peacefully and you need to get some work done in the next room, WikiHow shows us how to jury-rig a baby monitor. All it involves is placing a phone next to the baby, and calling it with a smartphone. After the call connects, turn on your phone's mute and speakerphone modes, so you'll be able to hear if the baby cries. Without waking it up with noise from your end.
Of course, this is only financially reasonable if you use an unlimited plan to make the call. And the scheme is no license for leaving the baby unattended for extended periods of time, or if you are a significant distance away from it. It also goes without saying that your service provider should have great coverage of both areas.

Hey this is nice thing you share here one new app i search for the babyphone just have a look at this.
The main screen of Babyphone shows the current status, the microphone sensitivity and the threshold for triggering the alarm.
If the Microphone’s display reaches or exceeds the set threshold, the previously defined phone number will be called. After completion of the call and the expiration of the delay Babyphone will reactivate itself again.
In the settings you can enter the number to call. In addition, there is a sleeping interval with an adjustable delay in minutes, after which Babyphone will reactivate itself again.

There are special programs like BabyMonitor for Windows Mobile http://www.babymonitor-mobile.com which transforms your cell phone to baby monitor. Simple place your phone in a room where your child is sleeping and when he wakes up the program calls to a number of your choice. This number can be as cell as standard land line number. Everything is simpler

Not just PDA, you can even do it with an iPhone or any other compatible phone. But above all, it’s best to invest in a baby monitor.
